크리켓츠(The Crickets)의 리더 버디 홀리의 솔로 데뷔 음반.

하지만 크리켓츠는 버디 홀리의 원맨밴드라는 이미지가 강해서, 대부분 The "Chirping" Crickets를 그의 솔로 데뷔 음반으로 보는 편이다.

게다가 이 앨범 역시 크리켓츠 멤버 전원이 작곡과 연주에 참여해서 크리켓츠 2집으로 봐도 여전히 문제 없는 편이다. 그룹과 솔로 구분이 무의미한 편.
