2005년 8월 22일 발매된 오아시스 6집, Don't Believe the Truth의 두번째 싱글 곡으로 오아시스 싱글곡 중 8번째이자 마지막 UK 싱글 차트 1위를 기록했다.

6집 중에서 가장 영국스러운 곡으로, 노엘이 Q 매거진과의 인터뷰에서 전설적인 영국 밴드인 킹크스와 더 라스의 노래에서 영향을 많이 받았다고 언급하기도 했으며, 특히 기타 연주는 물론 표현된 정서가 킹크스의 곡인 Sunny Afternoon and Dead End Street와 눈에 띄게 유사하다고 말하기도 하였다. 또한 이 곡의 가사는 자신의 게으름에서 영감을 받았다고 말했다.

제목은 게으름뱅이가 되는 것의 중요성에 대한 말을 적어놓은 책 제목[1]에서 따온 것이라고 한다. 또한 이 곡의 가사는 자신의 게으름에서 영감을 받았다고 말했다. 이런 말과 어울리게 가사의 화자 또한 지독하게 낙천적인 게으름뱅이.
